Cover letters and resumes

I continue to work on finding a summer job without selling my soul to corporate america. Sadly the list of places I hope/ have applied to are mostly chains so I travel further from my dream of small business. Interning with Ms Maria's paper will help though, and her phone call yesterday relieved some fears I began to have. Public schools ended last Friday and she is completing in service days tomorrow. After resting she'll have time to mentally deal with an intern and bring the next issue to press.

Chevy Chase Bank interview went so well that I did not have to sell myself at all. Mr. Akbar practically handed me the job, but formality of faxing the resume to Bethesda office would happen on Monday. I was to wait for a phone call from a 'Kate'. This was days ago, and though I mailed a fresh cover letter and resume to the local bank I am floundering and unsure what step to take next. The pay would be excellent for a twenty year old. The hours easy. Nearby college come fall, my new living space with Ginger should the move happen in August, and Rachel Townsend nearby at the old Medicine Shoppe.

Compared to that my list of other places pales and I cannot bring myself to act excited. Hollywood Video, Kinko's, Walgreen's, AE, Hollister, Benjamin's Wear It Again, Victoria's Secret (sell-out), Talbots, The Country House (Jenn stalker), Gospel Shop, SU catering, A.G. Edwards.
Definately out of food but watch me end up waitressing.

Cold and overcast this June 14th. Looking forward to 90 degree beach days. Preparing the house for company. Family friends from Dover/ NC with twins this evening. Friday into Saturday my sister hosts her 14th birthday slumber party. It will be nice for about the first two hours to have giggling laughter and nail polish fumes. Thankfully the Movie Night was moved and not canceled!! Someday I need to show the group how much they mean to me. Saturday I escape the girls again. Instead of the beach with them--need to give mom the Assateague pass-- I get to see Mona's house before she moves to Baltimore. Wow we are aging fast. Graduation!
