Halloween weekend means that the semester is more than half-way over!! I believe this has been one of the roughest emotionally. Perhaps partly senioritis kicking in and my desire to be handed my diploma now... but also the anxiety of moving away, and anticipating Spain.
I have sung in choir twice now, with practice beginning for the Christmas contata. Thanksgiving and Christmas are not that far away. Seasonal workers are being hired by many stores in the mall. I spent some of my morning picking up applications. Aeropostale seriously recruited today and I have an interview Wed. Nov. 7th!! Maybe I can save some money for Spain. That would be GOOD.
Academically, I feel like better habits were instilled this week. Motivation has been hard to find in past weeks, with me reading and watching more television than was healthy for a full-time college student. Linguistics presentation was a success, in large part because of the interactive feature of the Hawaiian Pidgin quiz I found online. Professor Vila allowed me an extention on a two-page project/report/paper that was ten percent of the class grade. E-mailed him five minutes before the deadline, but enjoyed learning about hearing aids.
Three papers to start and finish before Thanksgiving. So, I better cut this entree "short" and begin homework at the Salisbury University library. Rainy weather makes it easier to stay inside with a book.
[While reading Aaron R's history notes, who should walk into Panera Bread but Mrs. Wulff. Chase is doing well at Rutgers and is currently in a musical singing and acting. Plans to study in Italy next summer if funds allow. Good to hug an old mother/friend.]
