Give Thanks

I have a few pictures from the family gathering on Thursday, but I would rather write than share photos. On the topic of cameras and photography for a moment, I was able to swipe some AA batteries while at home. This fed my camera as I experimented with the LCD screen. Flipping through various options I have learned the differences in my color: bold, neutral, sephia (think old western look) and the classy black and white. Taking my camera abroad will need to mentally prepare myself to have it stolen. Sad reality. Julia Hatmaker apparently has experienced theft a couple times in Richmond, England already this semester. I hope Spain employees fewer street pickpocketers.

Ten more days of classes loom ahead. Baby steps will see me through the assignments. Dreading the group projects. Which reminds me that I owe Sara Keirnan her information to put our powerpoint slides together for Thursday's presentation. Need to search for the e-mail on my school account once I complete this, my written cleansing.

Erika in my spanish class was nice enough to facebook the homework to me. I knew it was two tracks off the cd and an exercise in class. When I looked at the book tonight the assignment is one left over from many classes ago. If only I could find where that loose paper went to. Oh well, that is why the alarm is set for 6:30 when class meets at 10:00.

Byzantium paper is nearly complete. The first two pages were written at my parent's home and wouldn't you know it, the one time I do not e-mail drafts to myself I misplace the USB stick? Luckily Mom is meeting me tomorrow anyway for the physical and later grocery shopping, so I can hopefully request that she mail it before the Friday deadline. Living close to my parents has its advantages... I stop in for Wednesday dinner before Bible Study. Next week however, they begin indoor track and are unavailable. "Supportive [crazy] parents"

Congratulations to two girlfriends who over break have had a good change in their love lives. You did publish it on Facebook so the news is public... Sarah Pollock is engaged to David Wray [see pictures from earlier summer boat trip] and Katherine Nelson is dating Nathan Terra. As I was briefly looking on facebook for Nathan's last name, Jennifer Powers returned my congratulatory greetings. She is an acquaintance from a previous college. She is engaged to Mike the boy she was dating and pouring over bridal magazines for during sophmore year. I suppose I should also add the update of Elizabeth Wilson and Ray {what is your last name?]'s May wedding.

So over break I did not complete the seven items I listed for myself, but I did spend two hours studying for each of my five classes. Monday looks manageable. Tuesday I meet in the library with my Management group. We hope to learn what not to do from watching other groups present that morning. This is the Sean Fahey class. He drove separately from my parents and the Lunas to some politcial event at some time in the past. How vague and sketchy does that sound? Anyway this is his first semester teaching. Maintaining any semblence of a positive attitude in the class is hard when confronted with the two Theta Sigma Phi girls moaning about his teaching style. Slander and libel are fine lines that I flirt with.

I owe the prof a case study for half credit on Tuesday. One page with plenty of textbook definitions to back-up my position. I don't know my position on DGL International pg. 442. That would be the paper I threw out after ripping it into six pieces. Tonight after unpacking my clothes and making chicken noodle soup for myself, I organized papers. The blue binder in my bookcase is four inches [recycled from SGA days] and filled to capacity with printouts, papers, and God knows what other important documents sitting behind their labeled dividers.

English take-home due on Thursday. I really want to call out sick on Tuesday from work. Perhaps there was some connection in those two sentences... my head hurts a little and the sinus presure builds. I cannot take non-prescription medicine like NyQuill sinus without asking a physician. Thankfully the previously scheduled physical can 'kill two birds with one stone'. Curious to know why grapefruit juice must be avoided while consuming meds. Mom and I did a simple google search last night. Cliff hanger I forget what exactly the interaction is, but I believe it increased the amount of XXX absorbed or somesuch medical jargon.

I need to write a check to AIFS by the 1st of December to cover a twenty dollar spike in fuel fees.

11:00pm well. five minutes shy. done for now. I imported this blog to facebook. Currently okay with the exposure but may always undo in the future.

Oh last thing... Joe's abounded in church today. My Uncle was in town so he met us there. My brother showed up with his girlfriend. Nice to take up an entire row as a family.

Elizabeth has got me playing Imogen Heap's songs on Youtube. Speeding Cars and Hide and Seek. Frou Frou singer. We spent fun hours on a website playing the impossible quiz. We made it to level 78 before tiring of being sent back to one when we ran out of lives.

...now to find that e-mail and message Sara the powerpoints
