Ecc. 4: 4---And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person's envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. :12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Yesterday was the first true day of Spring Break. Slept in!! Drove with my brother to the Atlantic Ocean. While in Rehoboth Beach we walked the strip of stores, pausing at something that looked like a prison. The building had a gate around the entire perimeter and then about a four foot "courtyard" before you reached the exterior of the building itself. I did not take any pictures because that would just scream tourist, but picture it. Inside the sliding doors the architecture changed drastically to that of an airy beach feel. Some features that stood out to me were the two story ceilings with exposed beams, multiple window seats, a very adorable children's section (complete with a miniature kitchen and reading nook). I settled into one of those comfortable window seats with the magazine Architectural Digest. The front cover told of a special article about the changes to the White Houses interior under the Bush administration. Here's a link to the article and pictures of the Green Room, The Queen's room, a newly redone Lincoln's bedroom (no comment on the necessary changes there), and so much more. Laura Bush
This morning as I was reading e-mails and catching up on the facebook mini-feed (it's a curse I tell you!) one professor is sending an announcement of a reading assignment to complete by Tuesday next. I should probably devote a few hours today to homework. Dishes and trash (you know those never ending household tasks) also need attention. But ah no classrooms or working on the clock for days! Friends, family and relaxing. Hope you are having a restful day also.
