Gradually I am aclimating to life outside of my parents home. Shopping for groceries tonight was expensive as I stock ingredients for an apple cake, carrot cake, and a country chicken bake. Simple items like baking soda, oil, and eggs add up quickly. After the family comes for Sunday dinner would like to expand to friends. Becky saw the place and borrowed a camera. Mona and Stephanie next two to have here.
The doctor's visit went well. Should have had this one sooner. Like seven years earlier.
Fun to see the web close around old SCS comrades. Wednesday I talked of seeing Peter Vinroot carrying around his coffee cup. Yesterday his girlfriend, Joanna Dean, friends me on facebook. It is nice to see so many of us still around. Stephen Kenney and Sarah Pollock from earlier this summer, Chris A. and Rachel Townesend in the fireside lounge and bible study, Jamie Scott interwoven through Statistics (wor-wic), her marriage to Randy Scott and coaching of the Bennett JV soccer team where my kid sister plays.
Matt Robins was standing on the porch when I arrived to the Shelton's. After talking with the pastor for a few minutes we all entered the house. Jared and Micah were the only other inhabitants. aka i am the only female present. great odds but took me off-guard. I know this will be a good study and I hope to finish school work in time to make it to the west side weekly. Shared about lesbian stigma with attending a woman's college.
