Two groups within the AMA –marketing club on campus – are competing against each other for some unknown prize. Reading the school’s weekly paper updated me with this bit of news. The one group is advertising for SOBO’s Wine Bistro and included coupons in the paper. So never having heard of this establishment, I make a mental note to keep a lookout while driving Salisbury’s streets. Well, today I had some unexpected free time when a professor did not show up for class- when four of us were scheduled to present. Flipping through the yellow pages I find another advertisement, this time for Boonies Restaurant and Bar, The Red Roost and Sobo’s Wine Bistro. A brief Internet search reveals two brothers own all the restaurants. They were raised in Richmond, VA and worked at the Philips Restaurants in Ocean City upon graduating from college. Man, three restaurants and in progress with a fourth… perhaps they would be good people to get to know. ;) Their prices are a bit steep but maybe if there are enough special occasions in 2008-9 I can taste something at each place.
