Highway Detours

Daniel and James M. Bennett track members met at Kent Island High School to run part one of the regional events. Part two occurs on Saturday, so those running individual races can rest from the relay event. It looks like fun from the sidelines and then up close you see the strain in their faces, realizing it is much harder than you guessed.

Time spent with Dad refreshed me. We took some detours to look at historical sites, like the Bay off Loves Point Lane. Dad pointed out the faint outline of buildings across the water, telling me that was the city of Baltimore. A recent hobby of his is photographing old churches on the eastern shore. The one in Wye Mills has a romantic bridge and a long walk way, I imagine many a bride has used.

Waking up to the forecast of rain today, halted beach plans. We can still salvage the day by preparing for Spain, minor road-tripping, gabbing and renting unseen movies.

Here are some pictures of yesterday. On a side note- need to figure out if Anne Gramham Lotz is any relation to Billy and Ruth.
